Black Pistol Fire Ignites the Stage on the Flagrant Act of Bliss Tour at Crescent Ballroom

Black Pistol Fire delivered a blistering set at Crescent Ballroom on February 27, 2026, with explosive support from Pink Fuzz as part of the Flagrant Act of Bliss tour.

Black Pistol Fire (BPF) brought the Flagrant Act of Bliss Tour to Phoenix’s Crescent Ballroom on Friday, February 27th, 2026. The 29-date tour, in support of the album of the same name, includes the United States and Canada.

Desert rock trio Pink Fuzz opened up the sold-out show. Living up to their name, the set included fuzz-tone guitars and hard-hitting drums reminiscent of early Smashing Pumpkins. Co-vocalist and bassist Lulu Demitro unleashed ferocious grooves from her Rickenbacker that would be at home on any Queens of the Stone Age track. Demitro’s melodic vocals provided a counterpoint to sibling John’s distorted baritone guitar, while Will Tarfas pummeled the drum kit into submission.

The 30-minute set included “Trigger” and “Long Gone” from their current album “Resolution.”  Other highlights included “Coming For Me”, “Decline”, and “So Sad.”  Pink Fuzz exited the stage to a mix of cheers of approval and disappointment that the set was over. The band’s discography, including “Resolution”, is available at bandcamp.com.

Drummer Eric Owen and guitarist/vocalist Kevin McKeown took the stage around 9:30. For the next 90 minutes, the duo delivered a high-powered set that spanned the band’s 7-album discography. Combining elements of blues, classic rock, and garage punk, BPF started things off with “Suffocation Blues“ and did not slow down from there.

Armed with an arsenal of Gibson guitars, Kevin McKeown was a blur of motion for the better part of the evening.  Whether chugging a beer from atop the bar or playing a solo in the middle of the crowd, McKeown could not be confined to the stage. Eric Owen unleashed a barrage of percussion that laid the foundation for McKeown’s soulful vocals and expressive guitar solos. Owen stayed busy laying down the grooves, pausing only to do a quick shot with his bandmate. The set also included fan favorites “Pick Your Poison”, “Bully” and “Look Alive.” The latter adds a few verses of Nirvana’s “Heart-Shaped Box” at the end. BPF closed out their set with “Run Rabbit Run” before exiting the stage, the feedback still echoing.

After a short break, McKeown and Owen re-emerged for “Speak of the Devil.” BPF continues to be one of the most exciting live acts touring today and Pink Fuzz is definitely one to watch. The tour heads to California, with dates in San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

After stops in Seattle and Canada, the tour heads South, finishing up in Austin, Texas at the Scoot Inn on April 25th. Tickets are available at blackpistolfire.com
