Lets Talk About Sabrina Song at The Rebel Lounge in Phoenix, AZ

Sabrina Song is a Brooklyn-based singer, songwriter, and producer whose music captures the emotional ups and downs of growing up. After releasing three heartfelt EPs—Undone (2019), How’s It Going to End? (2020), and When It All Comes Crashing Down (2022)—she gained attention with her 2022 single “Strawberry.” Now 24, she’s making her mark in the indie music world with her debut album, You Could Stay In One Spot, and I’d Love You The Same.

I got the opportunity to watch Sabrina Song perform her debut album live at The Rebel Lounge on November 12th—while she opened for Carol Ades in Phoenix, AZ. Starting the night with one of my favorites, “Okay, Okay”. Sabrina created an atmosphere that felt less like a concert and more like a shared experience of emotions, growth, and connection.

Being the first time I watched her live, I was struck by how warm and inviting her stage presence was. The audience at the venue clearly adored both her music and her personality. Before performing her song “Rage,” Sabrina shared the backstory behind it with the crowd. “This is a song about a dinner I went to where I was the only woman at the table,” she explained, going on to describe the uncomfortable conversations that took place. She recounted how the men at the table made inappropriate comments and suggestions about women, setting the stage for a powerful and deeply resonant performance.

Sabrina continued her set going back and forth between her guitar and piano. It was a very mesmerizing experience. I was excited to finally get to listen to her most anticipated song “Strawberry”. Sabrina Song’s performance wasn’t just a show; it was an emotional experience that made the audience feel connected. If you ever get the chance to see her live, don’t miss it. I promise you’ll walk away inspired and eager to go home and replay her music.
