Foxtide Brings Surf-Rock Energy to Sold-Out Phoenix Tour Kickoff

Foxtide kicked off their tour in Phoenix on April 21st, celebrating the release of their third album Entropy. The group, based out of San Diego, is composed of Elijah Gibbons (vocals and guitar), Oey James (bass), Dom Friedly (keys and guitar), and Ian Robles (drums). Together, the band put on a high-energy, emotional, and unforgettable show for a sold-out crowd at Valley Bar.

The show started with several songs off of the new album, including Days Move Slow, Heart in The Ground, and Live by the Sun. Throughout the rest of the set, the band performed older fan favorites; including She’s Not Yours, Pilot Wings, and My Favorite Girl Loves Reading. About halfway through the show, the band slowed things down with a seated, acoustic performance of Hand to Hand.

Throughout the show, I couldn’t help but smile and sing along. The performance was captivating and fun the entire way through. The audience was screaming along and dancing, excited to see their favorite group perform.

The tour will continue throughout the summer, ending in the band’s home town. If you like groups such as The Strokes, Almost Monday, or Beach Fossils; you will LOVE Foxtide – and I couldn’t recommend seeing them on this tour enough.
