Dogpark closed out their series of headline shows at the iconic Stone Pony stage in Asbury Park on August 7. Following the release of their latest EP, “Corporate Pudding,” the band completed a sweeping 42-date tour before announcing a 2-week mini leg alongside supporting acts Fai Laci and Telescreens.  

Steps away from the Jersey shore boardwalk, the Stone Pony provided the perfect backdrop for the East Coast indie rock band’s final stop on their summer tour. With the doors open to the outdoor bar, a coastal breeze blew through the venue, providing much needed relief from the New Jersey heat wave. The crowd was a sun-kissed sweaty mix of locals, summer tourists, and music lovers – with plenty of die-hards enthusiastically singing every word to fan favorites such as “Caviar” and “Hollywood.”

Opening acts Fai Laci and Telescreens warmed up the stage with energetic sets that had the crowd jumping and dancing under the glittering disco balls. The venue was packed wall-to-wall, both indoors and gathered on the outdoor patio. The 19-song set included standout tracks like “Dive Bar Named Nirvana” from their 2024 debut EP “Breaking in Brooklyn,” “Dreamwalker” from Sophomore EP “Until the Tunnel Vision Melts,” and “What’s My Line Again” and “September”  from Corporate Pudding.

Starting out as a college cover band, Dogpark has evolved into a blossoming indie-rock band with an exponentially growing fanbase and well-deserved rise to fame. They delivered 90’s-inspired heavy guitar riffs, powerful raspy vocals, and their signature satirical lyricism, leaving me wishing the set would never end.
